About me

Alexis Millán

I'm Alexis Millán, a cybersecurity engineer based in Monterrey, México. I've spent the last 10+ years working in information security — from designing secure network architectures and leading pre-sales engineering to building detection & response strategies for organizations of all sizes.

I hold a degree in Information Technology Security and I've built my career around the idea that security should be practical, not theoretical. I've worked with enterprise firewalls, SIEM platforms, EDR/XDR solutions, cloud security posture management, and everything in between.

What drives me most is teaching. I've designed CTF challenges, run security workshops, mentored junior engineers, and taught at the university level. I believe that making cybersecurity knowledge accessible is one of the most impactful things we can do for the industry.

Outside of work, I build things. I've created an AI-powered personal assistant that monitors my infrastructure and controls my smart home. I write about cybersecurity trends and tools. I tinker with automation, Infrastructure as Code, and whatever new technology catches my eye.

If you want to chat about security, collaboration, or just exchange ideas — I'm always open to a good conversation.
